Average speed cameras have only just started being used on the recently re-opened North Devon Link Road, but two have already been damaged - possibly in protest by a disgruntled driver.

Devon & Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a suspected arson in North Devon, in a press release they said;

“It is believed that two average speed cameras on the A361 between Landkey and South Molton may have been deliberately caught alight between 8.45pm and 10pm on Thursday 6 February.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anybody who noticed any suspicious behaviour or activity around the area that evening.

Anybody with information is asked to call 101 or visit our website quoting 50250032295”

An article about how the cameras work on the A361 is in the February edition of Molton Monthly Magazine (also available online via this website).
